What Changed?
Another Monday, another winter storm. Only nuisance snow is in the forecast for Monday, only for a brief time, and only for part of the state. However, there could be a few tricky hours in the middle of the day, as heavy snow falls and accumulates.
Models have been remarkably consistent with this temperature and precipitation type forecast. That gives meteorologists confidence that we know how the storm will play out.
The biggest change since my Sunday weather blog is a slight
increase in moisture and slight
decrease in temperatures. The end result: More snow, for the snow zone of North Jersey.
Tyler Adams is only 42, but his beard has gotten much grayer recently.
Amid record-low temperatures that devastated the state, the Dallas architect received a whopping $3,000 energy bill that covered the span of a week.
“At some point, I feel like your stress level doesn’t go any higher, you know?” he said.
Like many other Texans, Adams was hit with an exorbitant bill following last week’s unprecedented winter storms during which millions experienced power outages and boil-water notices. Some have even complained that they’re being charged for power at a time when theirs was cut off.
Adams has two properties: a home and a condo, where his office is located. His friend and his friend’s two children currently stay in the condo, which receives power from the wholesale electricity retailer Griddy. Adams foots the utilities.
The HHS designation will free up the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to offer healthcare providers and suppliers more flexibility to address the disaster.
